Biography

Col Tim Tuttle, USAFR, Ret. is the owner of Assisted Living Locators - Nashville. Tim has spent his professional life in service, serving in the Air Force, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve as an attorney in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Before retiring in June 2020 with over 30 years of uniformed service, 14 of which were on active duty, Tim served in New Mexico, Germany, Texas, Iraq, Virginia, Florida, and Maryland. His years in the Air Force instilled the military values of Integrity, Service, and Excellence, values to which the ALL-Nashville team are fully committed.

Tim's whole life has been about serving others. He was taught how to do so by his Mom and Dad, who were always willing to lend a helping hand to their neighbors, friends, and family members. Tim's parents took care of his grandparents in their final years and surrounded them with love and respect. Their example of how to treat people was the greatest gift they ever gave him.

In 1999, after graduating from law school, Tim joined the Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps, with his first duty station in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he met his wife. They were transferred to Ramstein Air Base, Germany in 2001, where Tim watched the tragedy of 9-11 and embraced the increased operations tempo as our country went to war. At Ramstein Tim was the base’s lead prosecutor. His next stop was Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas where Tim was the Chief of Medical Law and where he and his wife welcomed their son. Tim deployed to Iraq in 2006 where he served as the Chief of a team of military lawyers prosecuting terrorists in Baghdad. Following his deployment, the Air Force sent Tim to the George Washington Law School in Washington, DC to get an advanced law degree in employment law. Tim remained in the DC area where he served as the Deputy Chief of the Air Force labor and employment litigation center, and where his family was increased with the birth of a beautiful little girl. Tim's final active-duty assignment was with the National Guard Bureau’s Office of Chief Counsel in Arlington, Virginia where, in response to increased awareness of the unacceptable numbers of sexual assaults in the National Guard, he was selected to create and lead an office responsible for investigating allegations of sexual assault. This was the most difficult assignment of Tim's military career, yet it is the one which has had the most continuing impact. After leaving active duty with the Air Force, Tim continued to serve in as a civilian attorney in the Army, and in the Air Force Reserve, where he retired in the rank of Colonel in 2020.

Tim's mother, his biggest fan and supporter, fell ill in 2019. Like many of his clients, Tim's family felt rushed and overwhelmed when faced with making decisions about her potential living arrangements. Looking back, Tim wishes he had engaged an ALL representative to make sense of the overwhelming amount of information and to help them through the process. When Tim later became aware of what ALL senior care providers do and what services they can perform for families, he knew he had to continue his service as part of this team. Colleen, and Tim's Dad Gary, are the inspiration and guiding light for ALL-Nashville; Tim is committed to ensuring this business will be conducted in such a way that they will be proud. In Tim's business and personal life he am guided by the Air Force Values – Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All You Do – as well as by the lessons of love he learned from his parents, his church, his family members, and his friends.
