Biography
Jeannie Lessly, M.D. is a board-certified hospice geriatrician in Nashville, Tennessee who has been helping Seniors achieve better health for over 25 years. She was born and raised in Chattanooga where she was one of the Fabulous 41 first girls to attend Baylor High School the year it became co-ed. She traveled to upstate New York to attend Vassar College where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with Honors. Washington University in St. Louis, ranked third in the nation at the time behind Harvard and Johns Hopkins, would be her medical school home. Missing Tennessee, Dr. Lessly May returned to Vanderbilt University for Internal Medicine Residency and Geriatric Fellowship. After training, she was the Chief of Geriatrics at Meharry and began a twenty year career in long-term care and hospice facilities. Currently, she is the CEO of an innovative new company called Doctor Jeannie Senior Care which serves Medicare Beneficiaries in providing comprehensive care using modern technology in the home, assisted living, and independent senior living settings.
